Devon Joiner is an 18 year old pianist in Nanaimo, BC, Canada. He has been playing and studying piano since the age of four to achieve his goal of being a concert pianist. Born into a musical family in Nanaimo, British Columbia, he began piano studies with the Suzuki method, and then continued his education in piano under the guidance of Ellen Vander Putten, Lynne Gauthier, VALERY LLOYD-WATTS and  Diana Lawton.  He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of British Columbia with Professor Jane Coop.

Devon's great grandfather, Maynard Joiner, was a musician, concert pianist and orchestra conductor. Devon has won many awards in National and International piano competitions and performed several solo concerts as well as performing with the UBC and Vancouver Symphony Orchestras.
